  • Automobile (Business)  Policy that commonly includes some or all of the following:

    (a) Bodily injury liability for injury or death resulting from a collision caused by the insured,

    (d) Liability coverage for damage to property resulting from a collision caused by the insured,
    (e) Medical payments insurance for treatment of injuries resulting from a collision caused by any party,
    (f) Rental reimbursement for payment of a rental car while the insured’s car is being repaired,
    (g) Towing and labor for towing the insured’s car to a garage and minor repairs but not the parts,
    (h) Under-insured motorist coverage for charges exceeding the other party’s insurance limit,
    (i) Uninsured motorist coverage for recovery of all dues that would have been paid by the other party’s insurer if he or she had one.

Builder’s Risk  A special type of property insurance which indemnifies against damage to buildings while they are under construction.

Equipment  Contractors Equipment insurance covers equipment and tools owned by the business.

Garagekeepers  Garagekeepers Legal Liability insurance provides protection in case a vehicle is damaged by fire, theft, vandalism or collision. It protects a customer’s   vehicle when you are keeping it at a covered location for parking or storing, or to perform service.

General Liability This form of business liability insurance is the main coverage to protect your business from: injury claims, property damages, and advertising claims. General liability insurance also known as Commercial General Liability (CGL) may be the only type of business liability insurance you need depending on your business situation.

Professional Liability  Also called errors and omissions insurance, professional liability insurance protects you if a client claims that your services caused them to suffer a financial loss.

Property  Provides protection against most risks to property, such as fire, theft and some weather damage.

Umbrella  Refers to a liability insurance policy that protects the assets of the policyholder above and beyond the standard limits on their primary policies.

Worker’s Compensation   A form of insurance that provides compensation medical care for employees who are injured in the course of employment, in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee’s right to sue his or her employer for the tort of negligence.
